Teana Solar Sensor Fault

I'm having trouble with my 2015 Nissan Teana, gasoline engine, at 42077 km. The error memory shows a solar sensor fault, and the heating output is way down. I'm thinking it's a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar HVAC problem with my 2018 Volvo XC60. It was a faulty temperature sensor. Have you checked the sensor calibration values? Even a good sensor can give off readings, messing with the HVAC.

Thanks. When you say sensor calibration, are you talking about a specific procedure or tool? I have a regular OBD-II reader, but I don't know if it's detailed enough for HVAC sensor calibration.

My OBD-II reader couldn't get deep enough into the Volvo's HVAC module for calibration. Check your Teana's service manual or take it to a shop with Nissan diagnostic tools. They can find the exact sensor and tell you if it's the connection or the sensor itself. Sounds like the same kind of issue.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and the solar sensor was faulty because of a bad plug connection. The repair was 95€. Thanks for the help.
