Summary of the thread
A 2004 Hyundai Terracan diesel owner experienced engine stalling, reduced power, and an illuminated check engine light, suspecting a faulty rail pressure sensor. Yes, the check engine light comes on. So, you experienced the same stalling and reduced power? Did a sensor replacement fix it?

Yes, those were the exact symptoms. I also had the engine stalling and reduced power. While diagnosis is important, I suggest a visit to a trusted workshop for a proper inspection and repair, it cost me 240€.

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop. Turns out the pressure sensor was defective. Replacing it solved the issue.

I had similar engine performance issues with my Terracan. The fuel rail pressure sensor can indeed cause those symptoms. Has the check engine light illuminated?
