Terracan Key Battery Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Hyundai Terracan owner experienced a 'key battery low' warning on the dashboard, leading to inconsistent keyless access functionality. The issue was suspected to be due to a dying battery in the key fob. After visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that the key fob battery was the problem, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Yeah, that's exactly how it feels! Like I have to be right next to the car for it to even think about working. What did you do to fix it?

Sounds like the key battery, exactly what I suspected. Best to get it checked at a workshop. They'll probably confirm it's just a dead battery in the key fob.

Thanks! I took your advice and went to the workshop. Turns out the battery was indeed the culprit. Cost me 37€ for the replacement and diagnostics. All good now!

I had something similar happen with my Terracan. Does it feel like the range on your key is getting shorter and shorter, like trying to shout across a football field?
