Terracan Sunroof Initialization Error
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Hyundai Terracan owner experienced a 'sunroof not initialized' error, causing the sunblind and convertible top to malfunction. The issue likely stemmed from recent coding changes that disrupted the sunroof's control module. A suggested solution was to have the sunroof system professionally recalibrated at a workshop, which successfully resolved the problem.

Yes, the sunroof problem started right after the coding. Is there anything I can do myself, or am I looking at a workshop visit? I'm familiar with basic vehicle maintenance, if that helps.

Given that the error arose immediately after the coding, a reset or recalibration might resolve it. However, without the proper diagnostic tools, you risk further issues. I would suggest taking it to a workshop to have the sunroof system professionally checked and recalibrated.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local workshop, and they recalibrated the sunroof – cost me 75€. Seems to have fixed the issue.

I had similar issues with my Hyundai Santa Fe. The sunroof system relies on precise calibration. If coding was recently done, it may have disrupted the sunroof's control module. Did the issue arise immediately after the coding?
