Terrano System Readiness Check Incomplete

Hi, I've got a head-scratcher with my 2001 Nissan Terrano diesel. It's showing a system readiness check incomplete. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and an error message pops up on the speedometer. The mileage is currently at 123448 km. I recently read it out via OBD2 diagnostics, could that be it? Any ideas?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa after I cleared some codes with an OBD2 scanner. Did the check engine light come on? Maybe it just needs a drive cycle to reset the OBD readiness?

A drive cycle, you say? What exactly does that involve? And what kind of vehicle inspection is usually performed during?

Yeah, with my Corsa, the check engine light was on and the vehicle inspection failed due to the OBD readiness being incomplete. Unfortunately, I couldn't fix it myself, and I had to take it to a workshop for a computer reset. Maybe that's the best option for you too?

Thanks for the advice! It seems reading out the error memory scrambled the system readiness somehow. Turns out all it needed was a reset, which I managed to do myself with some software I found online. No repair cost, thankfully. Cheers!
