Yes, the shifting is rougher when cold, but it doesn't completely disappear when warm. How did you diagnose the problem in your Opel Astra and what steps did you take to resolve it?

In my case, the error code pointed directly to the sensor. I'd suggest having a workshop check the transmission oil level first and then run a diagnostic on the sensor. It's probably best to get it checked out by a professional.

Thanks for the advice. It was indeed the gearbox sensor. Replacement and gearbox oil change cost me 365€.

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Astra. It turned out that the gearbox sensor was faulty. Is the shifting generally rough, especially when the engine is cold?
