Territory diesel engine stalling and power loss

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my 2014 Ford Territory diesel. It's done 127916 km. The check engine light illuminates intermittently, the engine sometimes stalls at idle, and there's a noticeable reduction in engine power, especially when accelerating. I've scanned the OBD and it points towards a defective fuel volume regulator. I suspect the high pressure pump might be failing. Has anyone encountered something similar?

I have the same model, and those symptoms sound familiar. Did you notice any changes in fuel economy leading up to this?

Good question. Now that you mention it, my fuel economy has dropped noticeably over the last few weeks. What was the fix when you experienced this?

That confirms it. I suggest you get the high pressure pump checked at a workshop. It's highly likely it's faulty.

Thanks for the insight. I took your advice and brought it to a workshop. Turns out you were spot on, the high pressure pump was defective. The repair cost me 1510€, but at least it's running smoothly again.
