Territory DPF Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2012 Ford Territory diesel is experiencing reduced engine power and smoke during acceleration, likely due to a defective diesel particulate filter (DPF). The engine light is on, and fuel efficiency has decreased, further indicating a DPF issue. A vehicle inspection confirmed the DPF defect, and a filter replacement was quoted at 1550€.

Yes, the engine light is on. Fuel efficiency seems worse. What was the issue with your Peugeot exactly?

The Peugeot also had a defective DPF. I tried a regeneration cycle, but it didn't work. Vehicle inspection confirmed it. Workshop time.

Thanks. I took it to a mechanic, vehicle inspection confirmed the DPF was defective. Quoted 1550€ for filter replacement.

Sounds like a DPF issue. I had similar symptoms with my old Peugeot. Was the engine light on? How is the fuel efficiency?
