Territory Terminal 30 Error
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Ford Territory with a gasoline engine is experiencing a 'Terminal 30 continuous plus interrupted' error, leading to poor starting performance. The issue may be linked to a short circuit, but initial checks of the fuse box and ignition switch show no problems. A similar case suggests that a defective or heavily discharged battery could cause a voltage drop, triggering the error. Replacing the battery resolved the issue.

Yeah, the battery was the first thing I checked, seemed okay. But how would that throw a 'Terminal 30' error? Isn't that related to the charging system or something?

In my case, the seemingly "okay" battery was the culprit. It was causing a voltage drop that triggered the Terminal 30 error. I suggest you go to a workshop to test all your car's electrics, especially the battery.

Thanks a lot! I'll take it to a workshop. Turns out the battery was indeed defective and heavily discharged. Cost me 290€ to replace it. Problem solved!

I had a similar problem with my Territory. Same error message. Vehicle start poorly, too. Have you checked the battery? Is it heavily discharged or defective?
