Thalia AC and Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Thalia/Symbol owner experienced issues with the AC not functioning and an error related to a defective temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. The problem also affected the speedometer. Diagnostics pointed to a faulty AC control unit as the likely cause. After confirming the issue with a shop, the control unit was replaced, resolving the problem.

The temperature gauge reads normally. The main problem is the AC not working and the error about the heat exchanger temperature sensor.

Ah, okay. Mine was fluctuating, so it was a different problem. If the gauge is steady and the AC isn't working, the control unit idea makes sense. You should probably get it checked at a shop.

Thanks for confirming what I thought. I appreciate the help. A shop visit showed the control unit was bad. The repair cost 980€. It's working now.

I've seen something similar on the Thalia/Symbol. Does the temperature gauge jump around a lot or stay low even after the engine is warm?
