Thalia cold start misfire
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Renault Thalia/Symbol experienced rough running and misfires during cold starts, suspected to be due to insufficient fuel delivery. The issue was identified as a defective cold start injector. The suggested solution was to check the fuel rail pressure and inspect the injectors, leading to a successful repair by replacing the faulty injector.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you had the issue, did you also experience the misfires only when the engine was cold? Did you manage to fix it yourself?

Yes, it was exactly the same; the misfires were terrible only during the cold start, and it was indeed a defective injector. Because it involves the fuel injection system, I strongly advise consulting a workshop.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to my local mechanic and, after a bit of diagnostics, it turned out to be a faulty cold start injector, just like you said. The repair cost me about 515€, but now it's running smoothly again.

I also own a Renault Thalia/Symbol, and I experienced similar cold start problems. It may be related to the fuel delivery during the cold start phase. Check your fuel rail pressure and also inspect the injectors.
