Thalia cold start misfire

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2010 Renault Thalia/Symbol with a gasoline engine and about 211972 km. Lately, it's been running really rough when I first start it, especially when it's cold. It starts poorly and the engine misfires like crazy in the first few minutes. It feels like it's not getting enough fuel. After a little while, it runs okay, but those first few minutes are awful. Could this be a fuel injection issue? Any ideas?

I also own a Renault Thalia/Symbol, and I experienced similar cold start problems. It may be related to the fuel delivery during the cold start phase. Check your fuel rail pressure and also inspect the injectors.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you had the issue, did you also experience the misfires only when the engine was cold? Did you manage to fix it yourself?

Yes, it was exactly the same; the misfires were terrible only during the cold start, and it was indeed a defective injector. Because it involves the fuel injection system, I strongly advise consulting a workshop.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to my local mechanic and, after a bit of diagnostics, it turned out to be a faulty cold start injector, just like you said. The repair cost me about 515€, but now it's running smoothly again.
