Thalia diesel injection issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Thalia/Symbol with a diesel engine is experiencing poor starting, increased fuel consumption, reduced power, rough idling, and occasional stalling, potentially due to a defective injection nozzle. The issue worsens when the engine is cold. A possible cause could be a dirty injection valve. It is suggested to check for error codes and consider professional diagnosis and repair, as injector replacement may be necessary.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked for error codes yet, that's next on my list. And yes, it's definitely worse when the engine is cold. Did checking the error codes point you to the injection nozzle?

The error code was pretty generic, something about 'fuel trim' or 'mixture too lean'. I tried some injector cleaner, but it didn't fully resolve the issue. In the end, a workshop diagnosed it properly and replaced the faulty injector. Best get yours checked out professionally.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I'll get it to a workshop asap. They quoted me around 515€ for the repair. I appreciate your input!

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms on my Thalia. Have you checked for any misfires or error codes? Does it happen more when the engine is cold?
