Thalia engine stalls fuel sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Renault Thalia with a gasoline engine is experiencing stalling issues at idle, accompanied by a check engine light indicating a fuel level sensor fault. Initial checks for wiring issues did not resolve the problem. Suggestions included checking the fuel sensor fuse, which could be located in the fuse box under the dashboard. Ultimately, replacing the faulty fuel sensor resolved the issue, restoring the engine's performance.

Good shout, thanks. I'll check the fuses. Whereabouts is it usually located? Is it in the engine compartment?

On my Astra, it was in the fuse box under the dashboard. But consult your owner's manual for the exact location on your Thalia. Unfortunately, if the fuse is OK, you will have to go to the workshop and replace the sensor. They have the proper tools to perform the repair correctly.

Thanks for the input. You were right about the sensor. It was replaced for 52€. Runs like new now.

I had similar issues with my Opel Astra, although the error code was different. A faulty sensor can cause all sorts of problems, especially with the ECU getting incorrect readings. Have you checked the fuel sensor fuse? I'm not sure if your model has one dedicated to the fuel sensor, but it's worth a look.
