Thanks for the quick reply! I appreciate the Opel Astra reference. To answer your question, I visually inspected the wiring harness as best as I could, but it's quite cramped in that area. I didn't notice any obvious damage or corrosion, but it's difficult to get a really good look without removing other components. Is there a specific area of the harness I should be focusing on, or a particular diagnostic procedure you'd recommend?

Indeed. I concur that the limited accessibility can complicate a thorough inspection. Given the circumstances, I would suggest prioritizing the connector pins themselves. Ensure they are clean, properly seated, and free from any oxidation. If the issue persists, it might be prudent to consult with a qualified technician to perform more in-depth sensor diagnostics. This may require specialized tools to assess the sensor's signal output and the integrity of the wiring. Ignoring the issue might lead to further complications.

Thanks again for the advice! I took your suggestion and booked it in at the workshop. It turned out to be exactly as we suspected - a faulty connection to the interior temperature sensor. The repair cost me about 95€. Now the climate control is working perfectly again!

Greetings. I had a similar issue with my previous Opel Astra. The climate regulation was malfunctioning, and it turned out to be a faulty HVAC sensor connection as well. In my case, the error memory also stored a related fault code. Have you checked the sensor's wiring harness for any signs of damage or corrosion? This is often the root cause of such problems.
