Thalia Sun Blind Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Thalia owner reported a rear sun blind failure, suspecting a motor issue due to an error memory fault and lack of motor noise. Suggestions included checking the fuse box for electrical issues. With no noise from the motor, it was likely a motor failure. A mechanic confirmed the motor issue, and replacement was advised, costing approximately 330€.

Good idea about the fuse. But no, no noise from the motor. Where would I find the fuse for the sun blind? Is it labeled clearly?

Silence from the motor usually means electrical issues or a dead motor. The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual. If the fuse is fine and there's no noise, it sounds like the motor. At that mileage, things wear out. Get a mechanic to confirm, but replacing the motor looks like the next step. Expect to pay around 330€ in the workshop.

Thanks for the help. You confirmed my suspicions. The workshop confirmed the sun blind motor failure. 330€ it is. Appreciate the input!

That sounds annoying. I had a similar issue with a window visor in another car. Does the motor make any noise when you try to use the sun blind? Have you checked the fuse box?
