Thalia Tire Pressure Sensor Issue

Thank you for your quick response! So, if I understand correctly, it's most likely the sensor battery that's the culprit? Is there any way to confirm this without just replacing the sensors? And if it is the battery, is replacing the sensor a complicated process? I'm not very mechanically inclined, so I'm a bit hesitant to tackle it myself.

Yeah, from what you're describing, an empty sensor battery sounds like the most probable cause. Unfortunately, confirming it without specialized tools can be tricky. You pretty much need to replace the sensor and see if the error goes away. Replacing it isn't rocket science, but you will need to take the wheel off, and dismount the tire. Since you mentioned you aren't mechanically inclined, I'd recommend visiting a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and replace the sensor. It could also be an issue with the air valve, but that's less common with these cars. Expect to pay about 280€ for the repair. They will need to read the error memory anyway.

I truly appreciate your advice! It seems like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. Thanks for confirming my suspicions about the sensor battery and giving me a realistic idea of the potential repair cost. I'll book an appointment and hopefully, this low tire saga will be over soon!

Hey there! I had a similar problem with my Thalia, although mine is a bit older. If the tire pressure light is on even after you inflate the tires, it's likely the tire pressure sensor (TPS). These sensors have batteries inside, and they eventually die. The 'Pressure gauge' is just another word for the sensor. I'd start there. Did you recently get your tires changed? That sometimes damages them too.
