Thalia Weak Battery Flickering Lights

My 2011 Renault Thalia with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. It has 214917 km on the clock. Seems like the battery's always weak when starting, and the lights are flickering. I'm thinking it might be the battery sensor acting up. Any thoughts? I've checked the battery voltage and it seems low. Is my battery charge gone for good?

Sounds familiar! I've got a Renault Symbol, and I had similar problems last year. Weak starts and flickering lights drove me nuts. Have you checked the voltage sensor itself? Could be giving false readings.

Voltage sensor, huh? Where exactly is that located, and is there a way to test it before I start throwing parts at it? I'd hate to replace it if it isn't the culprit!

It's usually attached to the negative terminal of the battery. Honestly, testing it properly requires some vehicle diagnostics equipment. I'd suggest popping into a workshop. Turns out mine was faulty, cost about 315€ to get sorted.

Thanks! I'll get it checked out at the workshop. Sounds like that voltage sensor is the likely culprit. Really appreciate the help!
