Thalia Windshield Wipers Not Working

Hey, I'm having a weird problem with my 2010 Renault Thalia (gasoline engine). The windshield wipers aren't working at all. I've checked the fuse, and it seems fine. There's also an error stored in the error memory. Anyone experienced anything similar? Could it be a faulty wiper switch or maybe a problem with the rain sensor, or even the turn signal stalk since it's all connected? I suspect it's a cable or plug connection issue. This is driving me nuts!

I had a similar issue with my Thalia. First thing I'd check is the connection to the wiper motor itself. Sometimes those connections can get corroded or loose. Have you checked the cable harness where it connects to the motor? Also, does your Thalia have a rain sensor? If so, is the sensor clean and unobstructed?

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the wiper motor connection. Where exactly is it located? Also, yes, I do have a rain sensor, but I'm not sure how to check if it's working correctly. Is there a way to test the rain sensor?

The wiper motor is usually located under the plastic cowl at the base of the windshield, often on the passenger side. As for the rain sensor, honestly, without diagnostic equipment, it's hard to test. Considering you've got an error code stored, and you've already checked the fuses, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll be able to pinpoint the exact cause.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was a defective connection, likely the plug. They repaired the cable, and now it works fine. Cost me 95€ Appreciate the advice!
