Tiburon Fault Memory Lock
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Hyundai Tiburon is experiencing a fault memory lock with an error stored in the error memory, suspected to be caused by undervoltage. Possible causes include a faulty battery or alternator, which can trigger low voltage issues. Checking the ECU for fault codes related to low voltage is recommended. If the problem persists, visiting a workshop for professional diagnosis and repair is advised.

Thanks, I'll check the battery and alternator output. Did the fault memory lock also prevent you from clearing the codes? How did you resolve it?

Yes, the fault memory lock was a real pain. Clearing the codes was impossible until the underlying voltage issue was resolved. In the end, I went to the workshop, since I couldn't find the problem. I can't give you precise details, but they found the issue immediately.

Alright, I appreciate the insight. Looks like a trip to the workshop is in order. They quoted me about 240€ for the repair, so that's what I'll do.

I had a similar problem with my Tiburon. Check your ECU for fault codes related to low voltage. A faulty battery or alternator can trigger these issues. Have you checked those?
