Tiburon Hands-Free Microphone Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Hyundai Tiburon owner is experiencing a failure with the hands-free microphone, rendering telephony functions unusable. The issue may be linked to a defective infotainment system, as indicated by a stored error in the error memory. Another Tiburon owner had a similar problem, which was resolved by replacing the entire infotainment system at a workshop.

Yeah, it's exactly like it completely died! Volume control and speech recognition are unresponsive. Is that the same issue you had? How did you fix it? I think its related to bluetooth issue, as you said.

Yep, sounds exactly like what I went through. Unfortunately, fiddling with settings didn't help me. In the end I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They said it was the entire infotainment system that was defective. Cost me a pretty penny, around 815€ if I recall correctly.

Ouch, that's rough but thanks for the heads-up! Looks like I'll be heading to a workshop then... They told me the infotainment system was broken and it cost 815€. At least I know what to expect now!

I have a Tiburon too, and something similar happened to me a while back. Was it also like the bluetooth just completely died? I couldn't use voice recognition at all. Have you checked the simple things, like volume control and speech recognition options in the settings?
