Tiburon rough idle error code
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Hyundai Tiburon was experiencing rough idling and an error code, leading to concerns about a defective motor mount. A suggestion was made to inspect the connections to the engine mounts, as loose or corroded cables could cause vibrations and error messages. Upon checking, faulty connections were found, and after professional inspection, a defective engine mount due to a bad plug was confirmed and replaced, resolving the issue.

Interesting. You mean, like, the wiring that goes to the motor mount itself? I didn't even know there were wires there. What exactly should I be looking for?

Yeah, exactly! On mine, it was a small sensor or something connected to one of the mounts. I'm no expert, but I wiggled the connector and it seemed to make the problem worse, so I figured that was it. Honestly, after that, I just took it to a shop. They confirmed it was a defective engine mount due to a faulty connection. Cost me about 95€ to get sorted. Best bet is to get it checked out professionally.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the connections like you said, and they looked pretty dodgy. Took it to my local shop, and you were spot on - defective engine mount because of a bad plug. Replaced it, and now it runs like a champ. Cheers!

Rough idling and an error code on a Tiburon, eh? Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Tiburon, though I can't remember the exact code. Check the connections to the engine mounts themselves. Sometimes the cables or plugs get loose or corroded. That can cause all sorts of weird vibrations and error messages.
