Tiida Cruise Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Nissan Tiida diesel's cruise control stopped working, accompanied by a speedometer error and an error code. The initial suspicion was a bad cable or plug. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a corroded connector, suggesting a potential faulty connection in the steering wheel or car electronics. After checking the wiring and connectors without success, a workshop visit for diagnostics and repair was recommended.

Thanks. It didn't happen right after using the steering wheel controls, and nothing unusual happened before it failed. Can you be more specific about which connections you suspect?

Mine turned out to be a corroded connector. It's hard to say exactly where without diagnostic tools. I'd check the usual suspects first. If you don't find anything, a workshop visit for diagnostics is probably best. I had a similar repair done recently.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the wiring and connectors thoroughly but couldn't find the problem. I'll take it to a workshop for diagnostics and repair. The final bill was 95€.

I had a similar cruise control issue with my Tiida. Did it start after using the steering wheel controls, or did anything else happen before it failed? It could be a faulty connection in the steering wheel or the car's electronics related to the actuator.
