Tipo Handsfree Microphone Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2017 Fiat Tipo's hands-free microphone has stopped working, making telephony impossible and logging errors in the system. The issue seems to be related to the infotainment system, as Bluetooth connects but fails to transmit audio input for calls or voice commands. A similar problem was resolved by replacing the entire infotainment system, which suggests that a workshop visit may be necessary to fix the issue.

Exactly! Bluetooth connects, but no audio input for calls or voice commands. Like talking into a void. I've tried multiple phones, same result. Did you figure out the cause, and how much did it sting the wallet?

Yep, sounds like the same gremlin. I'm no expert but I believe it is something in the infotainment system. As soon as the issues appeared, I gave in and sent it to a workshop. They confirmed my suspicion and replaced the whole thing. Cost me 815€, so prepare for impact...

Ouch, that's rough but thanks for the heads up. I feared it was something like that. Looks like a trip to the workshop is in my near future. Cheers for the info!

I had something similar happen in my Tipo (petrol too, I believe). The Bluetooth was acting like a teenager refusing to get out of bed. It would connect, but the audio input was dead. Voice recognition was a no-go as well. Is that the same as you? Have you tested another phone on Bluetooth?
