Tire Pressure Warning on Camaro
Summary of the thread
A 'Tire pressure too low' warning appeared on a 2023 Chevrolet Camaro despite the tire pressures being checked and appearing fine. This issue could be due to a faulty sensor or a corroded or dirty air valve affecting the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) readings. It is suggested to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop to diagnose the problem accurately, considering the possibility of a sensor battery issue or other underlying causes.

Thanks. I haven't checked the air valve. Could a corroded or dirty valve really cause such a persistent low-pressure warning? Or could the sensor battery be dying and sending bad data?

A faulty valve can interfere with the sensor's readings, though it's less likely to cause a seemingly accurate reading. Think of it like a slightly clogged artery. The pressure might be okay, but the sensor reads it wrong. Battery's possible too. I'd visit a workshop. They can diagnose the valve, sensor, or something else.

I appreciate the insights and the analogy. I'll schedule a workshop appointment to diagnose it. The estimated repair cost is around 280€. Your input helped guide my next steps. Thanks.

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my Camaro (older model). The 'Tire pressure too low' warning kept appearing even though the tires were properly inflated. Did you check the air valve itself? Sometimes a corroded or dirty valve can mess with the TPMS readings. Worth a look before replacing sensors.
