Titan Diesel Fuel Pressure Issue

Thanks for the quick reply! About the fuel rail pressure sensor, where exactly is that located? I'm not super familiar with the fuel system layout on this engine. And how would I go about checking if the fuel system was primed correctly? I thought I did it right, but maybe I missed something.

The fuel rail pressure sensor is usually mounted directly on the fuel rail, somewhere along its length. Follow the fuel lines from the pump, and you should find the rail and the sensor attached to it. As for priming, after changing the filter, you should have turned the ignition to the 'on' position (without starting the engine) several times to allow the fuel pump to run and fill the system. Given the symptoms and the timing with the filter change, I'd say it's probably a fuel pressure regulator or sensor issue. At this point, I would suggest taking it to a workshop.

Thanks a lot for the help and the pointers! I took it to my local shop, and you were spot on. Turns out there was an error code related to the fuel pressure regulator after I changed the filter. They cleared the code, and the sensor was a bit loose; they tightened it up. Cost me 45€, but everything seems to be running smoothly now. Appreciate the advice!

Sounds like a potential fuel pressure issue, especially since it started after the fuel filter change. Check the fuel rail pressure sensor connection; make sure it's clean and properly seated. Also, did you prime the fuel system properly after replacing the filter? A pressure drop could definitely trigger those symptoms. You might also want to check for any obvious fuel leaks around the filter housing.
