Thanks! Yes, now that you mention it, I have noticed a slight engine misfire, especially when the engine is cold. Does this confirm your suspicion? What did you have to do to fix it?

Yup, that sounds like the glow plugs to me. I'd bet good money one or more are defective. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They confirmed it was the glow plugs and replaced them. Is this something you could handle yourself, or are you planning to visit a shop?

Thanks so much for confirming my suspicion! It sounds like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. I just got a quote for around 440€, so I hope they fix this for that amount. I really appreciate your help!

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Titan diesel. The preheating lamp stayed on, and the engine was a bit rough on startup. Did you notice any engine misfire or reduced power, especially when it's cold?
