Toro fuel flap release issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Fiat Toro diesel owner experienced a malfunction with the fuel flap release, which was unresponsive to both the button and key fob, accompanied by an error message and affecting other functions like the automatic parking brake. The issue was suspected to be related to a defective linkage or jammed cable release. After checking the fuses and confirming they were fine, the owner took the vehicle to a workshop where the linkage was replaced, resolving the problem.

Cable release? Where is that located? And yeah, the error message pops up every time I try to open the fuel flap. It's super consistent. Also, what functions were affected on your car?

The cable release runs from the release button inside the car to the fuel flap. It's usually behind a trim panel in the trunk area. Given the consistent error and other issues, it might be more than just a simple cable jam. It sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order to get that sorted.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was the linkage. They replaced it, and everything's working fine now. Cost me 210€, but at least it's fixed!

I had a similar problem with my Toro. Check the cable release – it might be jammed or disconnected. The 'linkage' they're talking about is part of the release mechanism. Is the error message consistent?
