Toro immobilizer issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Fiat Toro diesel is experiencing an immobilizer issue, where the engine either won't start or starts and then stops, with a diagnostic tool indicating an immobilizer error. The problem persists even with a spare key, suggesting a fault in the immobilizer system rather than key programming. The recommended solution is to visit a workshop with diagnostic tools to check the key and immobilizer module, which led to the discovery of incorrect key programming that was subsequently corrected.

Yes, I tried the spare key, same problem. Any other potential causes, like a faulty transponder or something in the car's immobilizer system?

Since the spare key does the same thing, it probably isn't the key programming, or there's a fault in the immobilizer system. I'd recommend a workshop with diagnostic tools to check the key and immobilizer module. Likely needs key programming.

Took it to a workshop as suggested. The key programming was indeed incorrect. Repair cost 45€ Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a classic immobilizer fault. Could the key programming be incorrect? Have you tried a spare key?
