Tourneo Generator Fault

My 2019 Ford Tourneo hybrid is showing some worrying symptoms. The engine power is significantly reduced, and the speedometer displays a warning light. Starting the vehicle has become difficult, and the lights are weak and flickering. Error memory shows a generator fault. Mileage is 77516 km. Suspect defective generator. Anyone experienced this?

I've had similar issues with my Tourneo. Reduced power, flickering lights. Have you checked the starter motor or the charging system? Could also be related to car electronics going haywire.

Yes, the starting was rough, and the error codes pointed directly to the generator. Best get it checked at a workshop; seems like a generator replacement might be on the cards.
