Tourneo rough running engine
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Ford Tourneo diesel with 27,143 km is experiencing rough engine running and a check engine light, with an error indicating "reset quantity drift compensation." The suspected cause is a defective injection valve or injector. A similar issue in another vehicle suggested checking airflow sensors, but the final diagnosis confirmed a defective injector. The problem was resolved with a workshop repair, including injector replacement and system reset.

Thanks for your input. I haven't specifically checked the airflow sensors yet. Were the symptoms identical in your case, and were there any other error codes?

The symptoms were very similar. I also had some misfire codes. Considering the "reset quantity drift compensation" error and your symptoms, it's likely an injector issue. I recommend a workshop visit. It's a specialized fix.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to the workshop. Indeed, the diagnosis pointed to a defective injector. The repair, including injector replacement and system reset, cost 515€. The issue has been resolved.

Yes, I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 series. Same error, rough running, check engine light, all pointing to fuel injection. Have you checked the airflow sensors? They can sometimes trigger similar errors.
