Toyota CHR System Readiness Check Issue

That's interesting. To be honest, I didn't check if all systems were ready before scanning. Is there a way to get the system readiness back to normal without going to a mechanic, or is a computer reset needed?

The situation does indeed suggest an interruption of the OBD readiness cycle. While some drive cycles can help reset the monitors, the safest approach would be a visit to a workshop. They can perform a proper system reset and verify the exhaust system's functionality.

Thanks for the info. I cleared the error memory with the scanner and did a longer drive. All systems went to ready after that. So basically, no repair cost at all. All good now!

It is possible that the OBD2 diagnostic tool interrupted the readiness monitors' self-testing. This can occur if the tool was disconnected prematurely or if the vehicle's system wasn't allowed to complete its diagnostic routines. Were all vehicle systems in a ready state prior to your scan?
