Toyota Noah Battery Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Toyota Noah is experiencing weak starts and flickering lights, suspected to be caused by a faulty battery sensor. The voltage drops significantly on startup, and the lights dim at idle, especially with the AC running. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the battery sensor at a workshop, which restored proper function. The recommended solution is to have the sensor checked and replaced by professionals to avoid further complications.

Yep, voltage takes a nosedive on startup. The lights are dimming at idle too, especially with the AC running. Did you end up replacing the sensor yourself, or did you take it to a shop?

I messed around with it for a bit, but I'm no electrician. I took it to a workshop, they confirmed the sensor was shot. Honestly, for the sake of time and not frying something, I'd recommend the same.

Roger that. I suspected as much. Shop it is. Thanks for confirming my suspicions! Turns out, you were spot on. New sensor and diagnostics set me back 315€, but at least she starts like a champ now.

I had similar symptoms in my Noah! Is the voltage dropping way below 12V when you turn the key? And do the lights dim even at idle?
