Toyota Noah idle issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Toyota Noah hybrid with 182,569 km is experiencing a check engine light and engine stalling at idle. The issue may be linked to a faulty idle air control (IAC) valve, potentially caused by a heavily contaminated air intake. Cleaning the intake and addressing the IAC valve malfunction resolved the problem, as confirmed by a workshop diagnosis.

Thanks. Can you elaborate on the air intake contamination? Was the IAC valve also affected in your case?

Confirmed – the intake was the issue for me. The contamination caused the IAC valve to malfunction. I recommend a workshop visit.

Much appreciated. Diagnosis confirmed a heavily contaminated intake, leading to a faulty IAC valve. Repair cost was 425€ Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I had similar symptoms on my Noah. Check the air intake – could be heavily contaminated. Is your throttle body clean?
