Toyota Noah Oxygen Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Toyota Noah hybrid is experiencing a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, with a diagnostic scan indicating an oxygen sensor error. The issue is suspected to be due to the sensor nearing the end of its life, or possibly a faulty cable or plug. A similar case was resolved by replacing the oxygen sensor, which restored normal fuel efficiency. It is recommended to have the vehicle professionally checked to confirm the cause and address the problem.

The tool gave a generic code about the oxygen sensor's performance being out of range. I didn't write down the number. Could you tell me more about your experience? Did you also find a defective cable or plug?

Yeah, I remember spending ages looking up the error code, and it pointed straight to the O2 sensor needing a swap. I had a quick look at the wiring, but honestly, electrics aren't my strong point, so I booked it into the workshop. They replaced the sensor, and the MPG went back to normal immediately. Best bet is probably getting it checked out professionally to be sure.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll book an appointment with a workshop to check the oxygen sensor, including the cable and plug. The repair cost was 95€.

Hey! I drive a Noah too, though I can't remember the exact year. Your issue sounds super familiar. The check engine light and fuel consumption spike definitely ring a bell. I was also suspecting the O2 sensor, especially with that kind of mileage on the clock. Did the diagnostic tool give you a specific code?
