Trafic Climate Control Failure

I've got a 2023 Renault Trafic with a diesel engine and I'm having some trouble with the climate control. It's done 63940 km. Basically, the automatic temperature control has stopped working. The air conditioning won't even switch on, and I've got an error stored in the system memory. Could this be the interior temperature sensor? Anyone else had similar issues?

Sounds familiar! Had a similar drama with my old BMW a while back. Same symptoms - climate control went bonkers. For me, it turned out to be a dodgy connection to the sensor. Have you checked the wiring and plug to the sensor itself? Could be a loose or corroded connection.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the temperature sensor located in the Renault Trafic? Is it easy to get to? And what kind of connection am I looking for, just to be sure?

Can't tell you exactly where it is on your Trafic, but on the BMW it was behind the dash near the steering wheel. I'd check the connection first, then take it to the workshop if nothing is obviously broken. It could be the sensor itself, but better to be sure. I ended up paying about 95€ for the fix, it's worth it!

Cheers! Took your advice and had the cable and plug connection of the component checked at the shop and you were right! It was faulty! Cost me 95€ and now everything is working as expected.
