Trafic Combustion Misfires
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Renault Trafic with 239,649 km is experiencing combustion misfires, rough engine running, a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, and reduced power. The initial suspicion is a defective injection valve/injector. After further investigation and advice, it was confirmed that a faulty injector was the cause, and replacing it resolved the issue.

The fuel pump delivers a constant flow of fuel. How would insufficient pressure lead to intermittent combustion misfires, similar to the effect of a malfunctioning injection valve?

I understand your concern regarding constant fuel flow, but it would be worthwhile to have your Renault diagnosed at a workshop. The cause of the misfires might be more complex than originally anticipated.

Thank you for the advice. I followed your advice and had the injectors checked. Indeed, one injector was faulty. Replacing it for 515€ resolved the issue.

I had similar issues with my Trafic. Rough idle, poor throttle response, and the engine felt like it was choking. Have you checked the fuel pump? A weak fuel pump can mimic injector problems by not providing enough pressure.
