Trafic cruise control failure

Cruise control stopped working on my 2005 Renault Trafic gasoline engine. Dashboard light is off and there's an error code. Fuses are okay. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my Trafic. Did you check the brake light switch? A faulty switch can disable the cruise control. Also, check the throttle position sensor connection. A loose connection could be the problem.

Thanks! I haven't checked the brake light switch or the throttle position sensor connection. Where's the throttle position sensor located? And how do I test the brake light switch?

The throttle position sensor is usually on the throttle body. For the brake light switch, see if the brake lights come on when you press the pedal. If not, the switch is likely bad. Given the error code, it could also be a defective cable or plug connection. I'd suggest a workshop visit.

Thanks for the help! The mechanic found a corroded connector. They cleaned it and used dielectric grease. Cruise control is working now. Total cost was 95€.
