Thank you for your suggestion. Could you please specify which connections I should inspect more closely? I am not very familiar with the exact layout of the steering column.

Focus on the multi-pin connector going into the adjustment motor itself. Also, check the wiring harness for any visible damage or breaks. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, I would recommend visiting a workshop. I recall a similar issue on a different vehicle costing around 95€ to resolve.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to a workshop as suggested and you were spot on - a corroded connector was the culprit. The repair cost was indeed close to the amount you mentioned. Much appreciated!

I have seen this a few times, usually on older models. Given the symptoms and the error code, it's likely a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the steering column assembly. Have you checked the connections under the steering wheel and near the motor?
