Trafic engine fault diagnosis

I haven't noticed any black smoke, but I will keep an eye out. The oxygen sensor and throttle body are good suggestions. I haven't checked them specifically, but I'm not sure where to begin. Could a faulty injection valve or injector be responsible for those symptoms?

Faulty injectors could definitely cause those problems, especially the stalling and rough running. A bad injector will mess up the fuel mixture, leaning it out or making it too rich. Given the mileage, it's quite possible. Honestly, with those symptoms and not knowing where to start, it might be best to get it checked by a professional before you end up causing more damage. Cost me 515€ for a replacement.

I appreciate your advice, I was afraid of that. It sounds like the best course of action is to take it to a workshop and have them diagnose the issue properly. Thanks again for your insights!

I had a similar problem with my old Peugeot 308 (gasoline engine, though). Check engine light, rough idle, the whole shebang. Turned out to be a dodgy oxygen sensor messing with the air-fuel ratio. Is your Trafic blowing black smoke or anything like that? It could also be a dirty throttle body. Have you checked any of those things?
