Trafic exhaust back pressure sensor issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2010 Renault Trafic gasoline. Lately, a warning light has appeared. I've noticed some smoke when accelerating, and it seems like the DPF isn't regenerating. I suspect the exhaust back pressure sensor is faulty. Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

Yeah, I had something similar with my Trafic. Same symptoms: warning light, smoke, and DPF problems. Did you check the sensor readings with an OBD scanner? That's what pointed me in the right direction.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a quick scan, and it threw an error related to the exhaust back pressure sensor, but I'm not sure about the readings. What exactly should I be looking for? And was it definitely the sensor in your case?

The readings were all over the place, not stable at all. And yeah, replacing the exhaust back pressure sensor fixed it for me. Honestly, with those symptoms and the error code, I'd get it checked out by a workshop. Could save you a lot of hassle.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Turns out the exhaust back pressure sensor was indeed defective. Repair cost me around 245€. Everything's running smoothly now. Thanks again!
