Trafic GPS signal loss
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Trafic is experiencing a persistent issue with the navigation system displaying 'No GPS signal,' which is suspected to be caused by a fault related to the GPS antenna. The problem could stem from a defective antenna or a faulty connection. It is suggested to check the antenna cable connection, typically located under the dash or near the head unit, but if unsure, consulting a professional is advised. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the defective GPS antenna at a Renault specialist.

The reception is completely gone; it's been like this for a few weeks now. I haven't checked the cable connection yet, as I'm not too confident messing with the internal components. Where exactly is the antenna cable connection located? Is it easily accessible, or am I better off leaving it to a professional?

Complete loss of signal definitely points to a dead antenna. The connection is usually under the dash or near the head unit. If you're not comfortable poking around, I'd suggest a workshop. Sometimes it's cheaper than breaking more stuff! I ended up paying around 200€ to get mine sorted at a Renault specialist. They confirmed that it was a defective GPS antenna and replaced it.

Sounds like my issue is almost certainly the antenna. I'll book it in with a local garage to get it checked out. Hopefully, it will solve the problem.

I had something similar with my Trafic. Is the reception completely gone, or just weak? It could be a faulty connection, or, more likely, the antenna itself is toast. Have you tried checking the antenna cable connection?
