Good call on the window track, hadn't thought of that. No odd noises, it just stopped. Are there any known weak points on these regulator motors?

The motors are known to fail, but that usually throws a different code. Since it's intermittent and logging a regulator fault, the switch itself is the main suspect. Still best to have it checked in a workshop.

It was the driver's side power window switch. A new switch fixed it. Cost 200€ for the part and fitting. Thanks.

Check the window track for obstructions. The regulator motor might be jammed. Were there any unusual noises before it failed?
