Yes, a diagnostic test was performed, which indicated the glow control unit as the source of the problem. The report suggests that the cable or plug connection of the component may be defective. Was your issue related to this component as well, or was it something else?

Yeah, that's it! Glow control unit! I remember now. I tried fiddling with it myself, but gave up pretty quickly. Honestly, unless you REALLY know what you're doing, I'd suggest getting it looked at properly. I ended up taking it to a workshop. Saved me a load of hassle in the long run!

That sounds familiar. I've got a Trafic as well. Had the exact same thing happen a while back – preheating light staying on, engine light popping up, and a bit of smoke when I put my foot down. I thought the engine was gonna blow! Did you run any diagnostics?
