Trailblazer electronic parking brake failure

Electronic parking brake is completely dead on my 2017 Chevy Trailblazer diesel! Handbrake doesn't work, warning light is on, and there's an error code. Anyone seen this before?

That sounds familiar. I had almost the exact same thing happen in my old Renault Megane. Is it making any weird noises when you try to engage the parking brake?

No strange noises, just nothing at all. Like it's completely disconnected. What was the cause in your Megane, and how much did that set you back?

Mine was silent too. Eventually, the mechanic told me the electric motor in the brake caliper had given up. Given you have the error code, I'd take it to a workshop to have it checked properly.

Thanks! I booked it in, and you were spot on. Turns out the electric motor in the brake caliper was indeed faulty. Cost me 505€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!
