Yeah, that sounds pretty much like my problem. You mentioned similar. Was it a total failure like mine? Like, completely dead, no audio input at all from the mic? Or just degraded performance? And what did it end up being?

Total failure. One day it was working, the next, zip. I messed about with settings for way too long, then took it to the workshop. They confirmed my fears: infotainment unit kaput. It's worth getting it checked out professionally before you spend any money on unnecessary parts.

Ugh, sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Trailblazer. I couldn't get the voice recognition to work for calls, and the ambient noise seemed to be amplified through the audio system. It was driving me nuts! What have you tried so far?
