Trajet Airbag Warning Light

My 2001 Hyundai Trajet, diesel engine, 60787 km. Airbag warning lamp lights up in the speedometer. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone experienced this?

Summary of the thread

A 2001 Hyundai Trajet owner reported an airbag warning light issue, suspecting a defective cable or plug connection. Another person suggested checking the airbag sensor connections under the seats, particularly on the driver's side, as a potential cause. The owner found a loose connector, which resolved the issue, costing 95€ for the repair.

I had something similar happen in my Trajet. Check the airbag sensor connections under the seats. Could be a loose wire. Have you checked those?

Under the seats, you say? Was it the driver or passenger side? Any specific connector I should be looking for?

Yeah, it was under the driver's side for me, but check both. It's just a standard plug; give it a wiggle. Honestly, though, it might be worth having a workshop take a quick look. It could be more complex.

Thanks for the tip. Indeed, it was a loose connector. Repair cost 95€. Appreciate the help!
