Good point about the spare key. I'll check. Assuming it IS the battery, is it just a swap, or is there a reset procedure?

If the spare works, then it's likely the battery. Usually, it's a straight swap. Sometimes the car needs to relearn the key. If it doesn't work after the change, you may need to visit a workshop to reprogram the key.

Thanks, that was spot on. I changed the battery myself for 37€, and it solved the problem!

Sounds like it could be the key fob battery. Does the spare key work? If it does, then changing the battery is a good start. Have you tried that?
