Trajet parking aid fault
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Hyundai Trajet is experiencing a parking aid fault, with the error memory indicating a general issue. Possible causes include a defective cable or plug connection. It is suggested to check the control module, typically located in the rear of the vehicle, for loose connections or visible damage. Visiting a workshop is recommended to measure sensor resistance and check voltage supply, likely identifying a defective cable as the source of the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply! No specific error codes, just a general parking aid fault. Where exactly is the control module located? And what should I look for specifically besides loose connections?

Okay, without a specific error code, it's tougher to pinpoint. The control module is usually located in the rear of the vehicle, often behind a trim panel in the cargo area. I'd recommend a visit to a workshop so they can measure the resistance of the sensors and check the voltage supply for each. It's probably a defective cable. I had the same. The workshop should be able to narrow down the source of the error.

Thanks a lot for the help! I'll take it to the workshop. They quoted around 95€ to fix it, seems reasonable. Hopefully, it's just a cable or plug like you said.

I had a similar issue with my Trajet. Is it showing any specific error codes related to the blind spot sensors, ultrasonic sensors, proximity sensors, or radar sensors? Have you checked the control module for any visible damage or loose connections?
