Transit diesel rail pressure sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Ford Transit diesel is experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, engine stalling at idle, and reduced power. These symptoms are suspected to be caused by a faulty rail pressure sensor. A diagnostic tool confirmed a fault with the sensor signal. Yes, the diagnostic tool indicates a fault with the rail pressure sensor signal. Is replacement the only solution, or could there be other underlying issues affecting the sensor's readings?

While wiring problems can sometimes mimic a bad sensor, a dedicated rail pressure sensor code usually means the sensor itself is the culprit. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally. Could save you time and money in the long run.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and after inspection they confirmed the pressure sensor was defective. Replacing it cost 240€. The engine now runs perfectly.

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. A bad rail pressure sensor can definitely cause those issues. It's like a clogged artery for your engine. Have you scanned for any specific fault codes related to fuel pressure?
