Parasitic drain, huh? I'll have to ask them about that. So, with your Astra, was it actually a parasitic drain causing the issue, or something else entirely? And where did you find it?

Yeah, for me, it turned out to be a faulty aftermarket alarm system that was slowly draining the battery. In your case, could be anything from a bad module to dodgy wiring. Honestly, electrical gremlins can be a nightmare. I would take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! You were right, it was a parasitic drain! Ended up being a faulty circuit breaker. Replaced it and got a new battery since the old one was toast from being constantly drained. Cost me about 290€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a pain! I had a similar problem with my old Vauxhall Astra a few years back. Same symptoms – struggling to start. I was chasing a phantom drain for weeks. Did they check for parasitic drain on the battery? Could be something keeping the circuit alive even when the van is off.
